Cahokia won the last time they faced Centralia and things went their way on Friday too. The Comanches simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Orphans 40-8. The Comanches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 24 points or more this season.

Cahokia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Machai Henderson, who rushed for 103 yards and a pair of scores. Nigel Gooden was another key player, rushing for 63 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

The win was the fifth in a row for Cahokia, bringing their record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games. As for Centralia, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.

Cahokia and Centralia should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Comanches will take on Collinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (119 vs. 247). Meanwhile, Centralia (ranked 133rd) will meet Mt. Vernon (ranked 270th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
