Beloit had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Minneapolis Lions. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory on Tuesday.

Beloit's offense was headlined by Vivian Thompson and Reagan Cheney, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Colbi Stroede and her 27 assists. Mckenna Channell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Beloit's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Minneapolis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Beloit and Minneapolis will both be playing Norton the next time they take the court. The Lions will host the Bluejays at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
