Soccer Recap: Cathedral Catholic Comes Up Short

Cathedral Catholic lost against St. Augustine back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cathedral Catholic Dons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Augustine Saints. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Saints are ranked 44th).

Cathedral Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for St. Augustine, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Cathedral Catholic has already played their next contest (against San Diego), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Augustine will venture away from home to take on Scripps Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
