Volleyball Recap: Steele Comets vs. Normandy Invaders

Steele barely beat Normandy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Invaders on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in April.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 31-29, 25-20, 26-24.

Steele's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Prince Tran, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Tran has posted over his last seven contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Penano, who had 19 assists and four digs.
