McLean County came into Thursday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a set and slipped past the Hopkins County Central Storm 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Storm back in August, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-12-2. As for Hopkins County Central, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McLean County will challenge Butler County at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hopkins County Central, they will host Paducah Tilghman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
