Volleyball Recap: Eastview Lightning vs. Apple Valley Eagles
Eastview lost against Apple Valley back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eastview Lightning fell 3-1 to the Apple Valley Eagles.
Eastview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-17.
Despite the loss, Eastview still got an impressive performance from Katelyn Molitor, who had 28 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Wagner, who had 16 digs and two aces.
Eastview's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Apple Valley, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Eastview will venture away from home to face off against Lakeville North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeville North will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Eastview surely won't give up without a fight. As for Apple Valley, they will challenge Shakopee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
