Recap: West Tallahatchie Choctaws vs. South Delta Bulldogs

The West Tallahatchie Choctaws pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of South Delta by a score of 61-59. West Tallahatchie has struggled against South Delta recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Several Choctaws players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Roosevelt Phillips, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Phillips has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Drexel Miller, who scored 20 points.

Jamichael Green continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Delta, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Green has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Ahmani Lee was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

West Tallahatchie's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for South Delta, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-5.

West Tallahatchie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Delta also has no future games currently scheduled.
