Recap: Research Triangle vs. River Mill
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Durham School of the Arts, the Research Triangle Raptors were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They skirted past River Mill 4-3. The high-scoring effort was just what Research Triangle needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.
They hit River Mill with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Amina Hasan,
Natalia Stephens,
Avery Hardister, and
Payton Parker.
The victory got Research Triangle back to even at 1-1. As for River Mill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Research Triangle will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Vance Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for River Mill, they will head out on the road to face off against Woods Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
