Basketball Recap: Bulloch Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bulloch Academy can now relate to. They were dealt a 76-31 loss at the hands of the St. Andrew's Lions on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 59-40 loss last Friday.

Leading St. Andrew's to victory were Zayden Edwards and Ja'Cari Glover. Edwards on his way to 24 points along with five assists and three steals, while Glover made all 6 shots he took racking up 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Glover is also crushing it when it comes to shooting accuracy: he's posted at least 0.5 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Page Getter, who posted ten points.

Bulloch Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. The win was the 11th in a row for St. Andrew's, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

Bulloch Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Andrew's, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-34 victory against Westminster Schools of Augusta on the 14th.
