Baseball Recap: Mountain Pointe Takes a Loss

Mountain Pointe lost against Horizon on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pride fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 5-4. The Pride have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luis Acuna was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Luke Mann was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Horizon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Looking ahead, Mountain Pointe will challenge Desert Edge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Horizon, they will face off against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Firebirds will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
