Soccer Recap: Spruce Comes Up Short

Spruce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilson Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in February.

Spruce's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Wilson, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spruce will welcome Seagoville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wilson, they will take on Poteet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Wilson is on a four-game streak of home wins, Poteet a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
