If Holbrook was feeling good fresh off their 59-23 takedown of Round Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Holbrook Roadrunners fell just short of the Snowflake Lobos by a score of 54-52 on Friday. The Roadrunners' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Holbrook still got an impressive performance from Tyler Tapaha, who went 10 for 18 on his way to 21 points and six steals. That's the most steals Tapaha has posted since back in December of 2023. Chase Salabye was another key player, putting up nine points.

Snowflake got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brock Ervien out in front who went 7 of 11 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Brewer, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Holbrook's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-5. As for Snowflake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Holbrook will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Blue Ridge at 7:30 p.m. Holbrook is facing Blue Ridge at the right time seeing as Blue Ridge is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Snowflake, they will head out to face off against Winslow at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Snowflake is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
