Volleyball Recap: Northside Mustangs vs. Ridgewood Rebels

Northside had lost five straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 8-13 to make it six. They fell 2-0 to the Ridgewood Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in April.

Jacky Bu paced Northside's offense, picking up five kills. Bu got some help from Eyoasm Zeleke and his six assists. Finally, Filip Zakrzewski and Patryk Kasprzyk kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

As for Ridgewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Leading Ridgewood to victory were Longbiem Pham and Khush Patel. Pham had 14 assists and three digs, while Patel had 11 digs and one assist.

Northside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Oak Forest on the 3rd. As for Ridgewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Prosser on the 3rd.
