Softball Recap: Grafton's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Grafton's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Poquoson Islanders 11-4. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Clippers considering their one-run performance the match before.

Grafton secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Alexis Henley, who went 2-for-5 with one RBI.

Grafton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.

Grafton's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8. As for Poquoson, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2.
