The Wesleyan Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Prince Avenue Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Wesleyan, who comes in off a win.

Wesleyan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Providence Christian Academy, posting a 48-7 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Storm are ranked 412th).

Maddox Gartland was his usual excellent self, rushing for 206 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Wesleyan didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Providence Christian Academy to a completion percentage of just 43.8%. Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Wesleyan has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 180.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Prince Avenue Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 170.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Wesleyan might still be hurting after the 35-10 loss they got from Prince Avenue Christian in their previous matchup back in September of 2021. Thankfully for the Wolves, Aaron Philo (who threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 45 yards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
