Volleyball Recap: Maxwell Estes and Jaden Taylor Secure Win for Elkhart

Elkhart not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 3-0). They blew past the South Bend Adams Eagles 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-15.

Leading Elkhart to victory were Jaden Taylor and Maxwell Estes. Taylor had nine digs, while Estes had four digs and two aces. Those two aces gave Estes a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Elkhart was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.

With the win, Elkhart broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-14. As for South Bend Adams, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Elkhart will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mishawaka Marian at 6:00 p.m. The Lions are on a four-game streak of home losses, and the Knights a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. After both having extra time off, South Bend Adams and Northridge will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
