Baseball Recap: North Royalton Find Success

While North Royalton put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Stow-Munroe Falls. The Bears won by a run and slipped past the Bulldogs 1-0. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Antonio Escano made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because North Royalton is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 7-10 otherwise. Escano was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Escano wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sam Kortan, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

The victory got North Royalton back to even at 10-10. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
