Football Game Preview: Rancho Rams vs. Las Vegas Wildcats

Rancho hasn't had much luck against Las Vegas recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rancho Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Las Vegas Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Las Vegas took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rancho, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Rancho turned things around against Desert Pines on Tuesday. They secured an 18-12 W over the Jaguars.

Rancho found their leader in sophomore Alexandria Fernandez, who rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Rancho is 2-1 when Fernandez posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-8 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas faced Desert Oasis in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Las Vegas was outmatched by Desert Oasis and fell 42-14. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Las Vegas' defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Rancho, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-9.
