Basketball Recap: New Hope Academy National Comes Up Short on the Road Against the St. James Performance Academy

New Hope Academy National kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by The St. James Performance Academy Strivers and fell 99-67.

When it comes to explaining why New Hope Academy National lost, don't look at Uriah Augare-Deal. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-21 to rack up 21 points. Another player making a difference was Kellen Powell, who posted 13 points.

Looking ahead, New Hope Academy National will venture away from home to square off against Concordia Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for The St. James Performance Academy, they will take on Dream City Christian National at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Strivers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
