Basketball Recap: Montgomery Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Montgomery won the last time they faced Analy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Montgomery Vikings put the hurt on the Analy Tigers with a sharp 57-31 win. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Tigers are ranked 850th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was Montgomery's third in a row) raised their record to 11-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Analy, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Montgomery will welcome Maria Carrillo at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Montgomery has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 177 points over their last three matches. As for Analy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Analy Tigers duke it out with the Santa Rosa Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Santa Rosa will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Analy surely won't give up without a fight.
