Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary Cardinals vs. Castlewood Warriors

The St. Mary Cardinals will take on the Castlewood Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as St. Mary comes in on ten and Castlewood on five.

On Saturday, St. Mary didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Dawson-Boyd, but they still walked away with a 78-72 win. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fifth in South Dakota, while the Blackjacks are ranked 26th in Minnesota), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Castlewood beat West Central 49-45 on Saturday. The 49-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Castlewood, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
