Basketball Game Preview: Skipstone Academy Warriors vs. Konos Academy Condor

Skipstone Academy is 0-4 against Konos Academy since December of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Skipstone Academy Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Konos Academy Condor at 7:30 p.m. Skipstone Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Konos Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Skipstone Academy will head into Friday's game after some sweet revenge against Lafayette Christian: Skipstone Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lafayette Christian, but still couldn't quite topple them. Skipstone Academy blew past Lafayette Christian 74-50 on Friday. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Konos Academy came up short against Springwood on Monday and fell 54-45. While losing is never fun, the Condor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 502nd in Georgia, while the Wildcats are ranked 185th in Alabama).

Konos Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Skipstone Academy, they moved to 6-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Skipstone Academy took a serious blow against Konos Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 64-30. Thankfully for Skipstone Academy, Logan Allen (who went 6 of 12 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight boards and four steals) won't be suiting up this time.
