Football Recap: Centennial's Run of Ten Straight Wins Now Over + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Centennial couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They were beaten by the Santa Margarita Eagles 42-7 on Friday. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Santa Margarita had a senior duo take command as Trent Mosley gained 302 total yards and four touchdowns and Trace Johnson threw for 386 yards and four TDs while picking up 15.4 yards per attempt. Mosley's longest reception was for an incredible 91 yards.

With the defeat, Centennial broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-2. As for Santa Margarita, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Margarita, after both having extra time off, they and De La Salle will shake off the rust and duke it out at 8:00 p.m. on December 13. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Eagles 12.2, the Spartans 9.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
