Baseball Recap: Carrabec Cobras vs. Richmond Bobcats

Carrabec extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-8 in the process. They came up short against the Richmond Bobcats, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in May.

As for Richmond, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 15-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average this season.

For Richmond's part, Brady Alexander and Rhys Terry made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Alexander tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Terry tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Alexander has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Alexander went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Terry got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Richmond got a massive performance out of Ben Fournier, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Fournier has posted since back in May. Cody Fournier was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Carrabec does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richmond, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-3 victory against Rangeley Lakes on the 4th.
