Baseball Recap: Desoto Central's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Two

DeSoto Central made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Arlington, but they still couldn't quite topple them. DeSoto Central's pitchers stepped up to hand Arlington a 12-0 shutout on Saturday. 12 seems to be a good number for the Jaguars as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory made it two in a row for DeSoto Central and bumps their season record up to 8-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Arlington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Coming up, DeSoto Central will take on Horn Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horn Lake has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.71 runs per game on average), something DeSoto Central will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Arlington, they have already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Christian Brothers on the 24th.
