Baseball Recap: Trinity Academy Comes Up Short

Trinity Academy had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 3-9 to make it five. They lost 14-5 to the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lion earlier this season, when they won 10-6.

Trinity Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Dixon, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, their record now sits at 11-9. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

On Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's side, the team relied heavily on N J Uhlenberg, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. The Lion are undefeated when Uhlenberg posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Burgin, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Trinity Academy nor Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill have any future games scheduled.
