Softball Recap: McGregor Takes a Loss

McGregor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies, falling 25-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mercuries of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

McGregor's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, McGregor will challenge Floodwood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Mercuries their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-1 win against East Central on the 15th.
