Basketball Recap: Lockney Comes Up Short

Lockney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Sudan Hornets, falling 90-57. The Longhorns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 58-48.

Lockney's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Sudan, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.

Lockney and Sudan could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Lockney (ranked 1318th) will meet Olton (ranked 266th) at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Sudan will challenge Farwell at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday down 799 places (1155 vs. 356).
