Soccer Game Preview: Henrico vs. Hermitage

Henrico hasn't had much luck against Hermitage recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Henrico has given up an average of 3.5 goals per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Henrico is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Atlee, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Henrico can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Atlee are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hermitage took on Deep Run on Friday. The Panthers won by a goal and slipped past the Wildcats 3-2.

Henrico's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hermitage, their record is now 4-2.

Henrico might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Hermitage in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
