Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Find Success

Lincoln posted their closest win since October 9th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Bloomington Purple Raiders 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Railsplitters: when they faced off against the Purple Raiders back in September, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Lincoln had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Lauren Tedrick was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had five digs and two aces. What's more, she racked up 33 assists, the most she's had over her last nine matchups.

Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-14 record this season. As for Bloomington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-22.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mater Dei on the 24th. Bloomington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
