Abilene is 8-1 against Midland Legacy since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Abilene Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Midland Legacy Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Abilene is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Mineral Wells, posting an 88-30 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Midland Legacy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against Seminole by a score of 62-53 on Friday.

Abilene better keep an eye on Diego Rodriguez. He was instrumental in Midland Legacy's win, going 7 for 14 on his way to 21 points. Rodriguez's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Varion Starling, who posted four points in addition to five boards and four blocks.

Midland Legacy's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Abilene, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Abilene beat Midland Legacy 70-63 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Abilene since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
