Baseball Recap: Page Sand Devils vs. Winslow Bulldogs
Page was the 17-4 winner over Winslow when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Page Sand Devils fell just short of the Winslow Bulldogs by a score of 9-8 on Saturday. Page has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mckyle Manygoats and Shaine Begay stepped up to the plate in a big way. Manygoats went 3-for-5 with a triple, a stolen base, and a run, while Begay scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Even though they lost, Page kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winslow only hit 12.

Page will be playing in front of their home fans against Chinle at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winslow, they will head out on the road to square off against Holbrook at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Holbrook has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.31 runs per game on average), something Winslow will no doubt try to take advantage of.
