Rolling Hills Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lennox Academy Panthers a 3-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The result came thanks to Matthew Moyer's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks.

On the hitting side, Rolling Hills Prep's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Lopez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Lopez also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Rolling Hills Prep's win bumped their record up to 7-4-1. As for Lennox Academy, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8.

Rolling Hills Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
