Baseball Recap: Tome Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Tome dropped their record down to 7-7 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Pennsville Memorial Eagles, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Titans have suffered since March 18th.

Tome saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Reyes, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

As for Pennsville Memorial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

On Pennsville Memorial's side, Connor Starn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave Starn a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Burchfield, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Luke Wood was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

As of now, neither Tome nor Pennsville Memorial have any future games scheduled.
