Football Recap: Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy Comes Up Short

Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Southern Christian Patriots 35-6.

Southern Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Bailey out in front who rushed for 53 yards and two TDs. An impressive showing, but Bailey really ramped things up playing D: he picked up 3.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made ten total tackles (4.5 for loss). Another back making a difference was Jagger Scott, who rushed for 53 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries.

Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy and Southern Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Tornadoes see the field they'll take on Carolina W at 3:00 p.m. on September 20. As for Southern Christian, their break will end when they face Ezekiel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
