Baseball Recap: Christian Academy of Louisiana Takes a Loss

If Christian Academy of Louisiana was feeling good fresh off their 15-5 takedown of First Baptist Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Faith Training Christian Academy on Monday.

Holden Robertson was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off two hits. Robertson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, Andrew Martinez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Christian Academy of Louisiana's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Faith Training Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

As of now, neither Christian Academy of Louisiana nor Faith Training Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
