Basketball Game Preview: Robstown Cottonpickers vs. Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees

The Robstown Cottonpickers will challenge the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuloso-Midway took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Robstown, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Robstown turned things around against Zapata on Friday. They greeted the New Year with with a 51-33 victory over the Hawks.

Meanwhile, Tuloso-Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Alice, falling 58-34. While losing is never fun, the Warriors & Cherokees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 847th, while the Coyotes are ranked 390th).

Tuloso-Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Robstown, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Robstown came up short against Tuloso-Midway when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 47-37. Can Robstown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
