Softball Recap: Georgetown Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Georgetown can now relate to. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williamsburg Wildcats on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the G-Men in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost eight in a row.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Williamsburg, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Coincidentally, Georgetown and Williamsburg will both be playing Blanchester the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will head out to face the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the G-Men will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
