Basketball Game Preview: Jackson Aggies vs. Spanish Fort Toros

The Jackson Aggies and the Spanish Fort Toros will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Jackson's tournament run continued when they took on Albertville on Friday. Jackson took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Albertville. The game marked Jackson's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Spanish Fort didn't have quite enough to beat UMS-Wright Prep on Friday and fell 61-59.

Spanish Fort has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Jackson fell to 5-1.

Jackson was taken down by Spanish Fort 65-38 in their previous matchup back in January of 2021. Can the Aggies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
