Football Recap: Morenci Skates Past Globe with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morenci). They breezed past the Globe Tigers to the tune of 43-15 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Julien Aragon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 155 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Derick Lytle, who gained 73 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Morenci was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 424 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 161 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Globe's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Landon Rios, who picked up 56 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Jaeger Franco, who threw for 124 yards and two TDs.

Morenci now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Globe, their record is now an identical 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morenci will venture away from home to take on Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Globe, they will head out to challenge St. Johns at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Redskins' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
