Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. Kenton Ridge Cougars

The Franklin Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Kenton Ridge Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Saturday, Franklin came up short against Dayton Christian and fell 8-4.

David Rebrovich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Hurst, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Meanwhile, Kenton Ridge came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Bison with a sharp 20-0 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by seven runs or more this season.

Kenton Ridge pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Franklin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.
