Volleyball Recap: Davison Picks Up 16th Consecutive Victory

Davison extended their winning streak to 16 on Thursday, bumping them up to 16-1. They blew past the Lapeer Lightning 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Leading Davison to victory were Daphne Darling and Berklee Stimson. Darling had eight assists and six digs, while Stimson had 21 assists and five digs. Stimson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Payton Beagle also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

As for Lapeer, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since September 16th.

Despite the loss, Lapeer still got an impressive performance from Allison Rutledge, who had ten assists and four digs.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Davison is set to challenge their familiar foe Powers Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lapeer will face off against rival Grand Blanc at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
