Softball Recap: North Pitt Takes a Loss

North Pitt lost against SouthWest Edgecombe last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. North Pitt came up short against SouthWest Edgecombe, falling 13-2. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

North Pitt's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Pitt will challenge North Lenoir at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. North Pitt's pitchers better be ready for this one: North Lenoir has averaged an impressive 11.7 runs per game this season. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, they will take on Hunt at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hunt has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.82 runs per game on average), something SouthWest Edgecombe will no doubt try to take advantage of.
