Chaparral had already won 11 in a row and they went ahead and made it 12 on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Horizon Huskies. This was payback for the Firebirds, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chaparral had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-15, 25-11, 25-20.

Chaparral was led to victory by Caprice Cooper and Avery Crain. Cooper had 14 digs and four assists, while Crain had nine digs and two assists. That's the most digs Cooper has posted over her last four matches.

Despite the loss, Horizon still got an impressive performance from Isabelle (Isa) Mcilroy, who had 20 digs and one assist.

Chaparral's win bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Horizon, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.
