Basketball Recap: Pleasant Grove Comes Up Short

Pleasant Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 49-41 to the Paris Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-29 on January 3rd.

Pleasant Grove now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Paris, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-14.

Pleasant Grove and Paris could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Pleasant Grove will challenge Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 331 places (480 vs. 149). Similarly, Paris (ranked 494th) will meet Sulphur Springs (ranked 138th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
