 Howards Grove can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Manitowoc Lutheran Lancers  and snuck past  7-6. That's more bragging rights for Howards Grove, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Brady Heling was  incredible,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.  Trey Sixel was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 On Manitowoc Lutheran's side,  Noah Lukasek made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Howards Grove's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 7-10-1. As for Manitowoc Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 9-5 with that  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howards Grove will play host again  on Monday to welcome Random Lake, where first pitch is scheduled  at 6:30  p.m. As for Manitowoc Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary Catholic at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Manitowoc Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6  runs per game  this season.
