Baseball Recap: Ottawa Comes Up Short

Ottawa blew LaSalle-Peru out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday LaSalle-Peru got their revenge. The Pirates fell just short of the Cavaliers by a score of 11-9. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly two runs.

Ottawa has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for LaSalle-Peru, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7-1.

While Ottawa had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
