Volleyball Recap: Lake Country Lutheran Comes Up Short

Lake Country Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Wheaton North Falcons. The Lightning were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Adeleine Catlin paced Lake Country Lutheran's offense, picking up seven kills. Catlin got some help from Grace Luedke and her 15 assists. Brinn Catlin controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Wheaton North's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Ohashi, who had five digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Benson, who had eight digs and one assist.

Lake Country Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Wheaton North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Lake Country Lutheran has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Waukesha West on the 4th. As for Wheaton North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Wauwatosa East on the 4th.
