Union Grove won the last time they faced Ore City and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Rebels 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Olivia Dabreu spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hailey Carter, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Union Grove's record is now 13-8. As for Ore City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17-1 record this season.
