Baseball Recap: Battle Mountain Wins Going Away Against Olathe

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Battle Mountain). Everything went their way against the Olathe Pirates on Friday as Battle Mountain made off with a 13-1 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Huskies with their most commanding win of the season.

The win (which was Battle Mountain's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Olathe, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Battle Mountain will head out on the road to take on Gunnison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Olathe, they will be taking part in a tournament against Steamboat Springs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
